Repost! One Of My Viewers Favourites! Bad Plastic Surgery

This world is officially obsessed with being perfect! If it isn't the latest diet its plastic surgery....so just to show you how bad surgery can make you look I've done some research into histories worst!!

Some of these images are pretty scary - you may want to look away now haha :/

Amanda Lepore aged 44 - One of the worlds most famous transsexuals - the transformation is shocking! She is well known for being in a huge range of fashion and beauty campaigns for various big brands including MAC make-up. If the surgery continues will her career?

Jocelyn Wildenstine aged 72! - One of the most famous celebrity plastic surgery disasters! Now really why would you want to look like this? Rumoured to have spent almost 5 million of plastic surgery, well I think I would ask for my money back!

Jackie Stallone aged 90! - Best known as Sylvester Stallone's mother, She didn't want to grow old gracefully?

Heidi Montag aged just 26! Although only young Heidi Montag has under gone lots of major plastic surgery procedures already! Famous for her time on the reality show 'The Hills' the star is also known for her record breaking 10 plastic surgery procedures in ONE DAY! She was a beautiful girl before I really don't see what needed improving? I'm afraid she might topple over....

Donatella Versace aged 57 - Is a famous Italian fashion designer! Although I love her designs I can't say I love her look! Having under gone lip, breast and facial surgery the designer is looking a bit worse for wear!

Mickey Rouke aged 60 - I think men who have plastic surgery are crazy! Everyone knows men age better than woman! Plastic surgery on men is also a lot more obvious. Mickey Rouke is a famous American actor and well known for is very stretched face!

I rest my case! Scary!

Diary of a New Wedding Planner Part 2

I posted not long ago about my desire to become a wedding planner. Well here it is my first wedding has been and gone so quickly! To recap from my first entry as a wedding planner, my cousin's fiance asked me to plan her wedding reception on their return from getting wed in Vegas in October 2013. I obviously took up the challenge and with only 12 weeks to complete all the details it was definitely tough. I can honestly say that the entire planning of the event and the wedding itself went very smoothly!

I also designed and drew the couples invitations - they are both owners of 1980's mini's and they wanted to have them hand drawn on the wedding invitation. With me being the artistic type I volunteered and they love it and had over 100 printed!

The week running up to the wedding is known for being a hectic week and my 1st experience was no different. Liaising with the venue, the florist, the chair cover company and most importantly the bride and groom were all part of my job in that week. The night before the wedding was great fun, when setting up the room for the wedding the next day. Seeing everything coming together after so many weeks is definitely satisfying. Going over the final details and numbers again and again helped me be clear when liaising and directing various suppliers. I also found producing an itinerary for the whole day benefited not only me but the suppliers I gave it to. I highlighted specific details for each supplier so they knew the delivery of the event throughout the day. I would recommend any trainee wedding planner to do this as it keeps things on time and avoids delays! Here are some of my pictures from the wedding!

My lovely thank you flowers from the Bride and Groom

Diary Of A New Wedding Planner Part 1

I am sorry I haven't posted for a while, since September things have been hectic with still studying at University. Back in June 2013 I enrolled on a new course to pursue my dream of becoming a wedding planner! I have wanted to get into the events industry since I was about 15, having always studied Fashion it was a slight career change. I enrolled with The Blackford Centre back in June and I am already a third of the way through my course.

I got a call in mid July from my cousin's fiance. Slightly out of the blue she asked me if I would help her plan her wedding! They hadn't even set a date so again this was news to me. She then surprised me by telling me I had 12 weeks to plan and execute an entire wedding reception. Their very last minute plan was to get wed in Vegas and have a wedding reception back home for all the family. Talk about setting me a challenge for my first ever wedding! But even though I was a newby it didn't stop me getting stuck in straight away.

First, and most importantly was to look for and secure the right venue. With only 12 weeks to go until they wanted their reception to take place, it was a bit of a challenge. Even though I have just started out I have been making connections with various different suppliers and venues over the past few years. Knowing I was heading in this direction I knew I had to be prepared. I have working in the wedding industry doing various things for over year, such as working in a bridal shop, a wedding shoe shop where I use to customise a brides shoes and working at a wedding venue. All of these opportunities were for experience but also paid work which is a bonus! I would recommend anyone wanting to explore this career path to try and get as much experience as possible in the field. My experience working with various suppliers gave me priceless knowledge!!

So back to my 1st official wedding as a wedding planner! I had a lot of phone calls and emails to send out. There was also the viewing of the venues coming up and with only 12 weeks to do it I certainly had my work cut out for me. Read my next diary entry to see how I got on! I've also uploaded some great wedding photos, some taken by myself and others sourced for any brides who need some inspiration!
