No.7 Eye-shadow Review

Normally No.7 is not my first choice when it comes to make-up but I was bought a set of eye shadows for Christmas so I thought why not give it a try! I realise it has been over 5 months since Christmas and I am only just using this gift set, I'm bad I know. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I first used the products. The set included an eyeliner pencil, a mascara and a selection of eye-shadows  When it comes to mascara and eyeliner I always stick to Maybelline products so I did give those a miss but with eye-shadows I find any brand I can pretty much work with.

The sets come in a palette of 3 complimenting colours which I love as I do far to many layers when applying eye make-up. I would say the only downside to this product is the fact that it didn't come with any brushes! It was lucky I had just purchased one from Avon or I would have had nothing to apply it with. But the product itself I was pleased with. I find some brands aren't very substantial when it comes to thickness but I was pleasantly surprised when the colour was thick and solid. Easy to apply, (with the right brush!) and a brilliant colour selection. Although the eye-shadows I have came apart of a set and are not available as individual products, there are items very similar to this available at any No.7 counter. Would recommend this brand for eye-shadows definitely but maybe stick to your favourite brands when it comes to your eyeliner and mascara.

Here's another of my favourite fashion campaigns from 2013! Model Kasia Struss poses for fashion magazine Numero #142 showcasing some very impressive head dresses. The shoot shot by Greg Kadel and styled by Bill Mullen is in Numero's April 2013 issue. Both the black and white and the coloured images are amazing, some lovely photography going on here! How to Create an Online Blog Shop, Tutorial!

Hi there! I have recently just set up my own Online Fashion Blog Shop and thought I would share a tutorial on how all of you could do the same. It sounds like a daunting task setting up an entire shop, but I am here to tell you that it is really not that hard, and if you have something to sell anyone can do it! So here goes, step by step guide to setting up your own little business!

  • The first thing you need to do is get a Paypal account. If you already have one, then you need to upgrade it to a business account. This will allow you to create buttons linked up to your Paypal. This is free to do on the standard service so don't worry about it costing you anything. You can easily upgrade your account by logging in, clicking on My Account tab and clicking upgrade. Easy!
  • The next thing that you need to do is set up the shops own page. I know all or most bloggers know how to do this but I will explain anyway. Go into the design feature on your blog and go to the page tab on your left side bar. Create a new blank page.

  • Once you have created your new blank page upload a picture of your item you want to sell and add a brief description of what your selling. Tip, I sell scarves etc on my blog shop so I always state the material, length, width, style and price. The more information you have on your item the more desirable it will look!

  • So now you should have a new page with one item photo and brief description of your product. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to the lay out of a shop. However you like to set your pages out is fine, Tip keep it easy to follow! You also should have upgraded your Paypal to a business account.
  • Now login to your Paypal account if you haven't already done so, and click on the Merchant Services tab at the top of your page.

  • Once you have clicked on the Merchant Services page you will be presented with the screen below. Click on the Websites Payment Standard page, this will take you to a page where you can create a Buy Now button for your item.

  • On the next screen it will allow you to create your Buy Now button. Click on the create tab and follow the instructions. Paypal will ask you the name of the item, the price of the item, the amount of postage you want to charge, if you want to track your inventory (this is where you can enter the amount of the same item you have, Paypal will track your inventory!) Tracking your inventory is a good thing as if you run out of stock customers can no longer buy that product! Once you have completed all the relevant information click create button!
  • When you press create button, Paypal will then give you a code, which you need to copy and paste into the HTML tab in your page design. The page below shows you where to find it. Once you have your code paste it into HTML below your image and description.

  • Once you have inserted your code, click back on to the Compose tab and your Buy Now button should appear below your image. Position button where ever you want.

  • If you now publish your page, test out your button and it will take you a payment page on Paypal! You have now started your online blog shop!
  • Repeat the steps above for each item you want to sell on your blog!
I hope this tutorial is easy to follow and helps anyone who wants to start up their own little business!

My First Blog Button!

You On My Cloud now has a new blog button, long overdue I know but I am finally on the blog button band wagon! I wanted to keep my first blog button nice and simple. I have tried to keep the blog very much black and white so this is how I wanted my button to look. I used Photoshop to design it, photobucket to upload it and various web tutorials with the HTML code. It was a lot easier than I thought, so there will be more to come. See the Blog Button Page for information on swapping buttons! So here it is...

Anne Sofie Madsen Spring 2013 Campaign

Hi readers! Here's another amazing fashion campaign for 2013. Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen's spring/summer collection is showcased in this futuristic, sci-fi like campaign photographed by Jens Langkjaer. The collection itself is so artistic, with digital prints and such intricate detailing! With a sportswear feel to the collection it is such a wearable range, with items being able to be plucked straight from the runway!

Back to the campaign, the clothing photographs beautifully! With some of the images actually looking like oil paintings. The clothing also has a marine like quality to them that just adds to the futuristic feel of the campaign. Although the campaign images doesn't really reflect the strong sports luxe trend, that is huge this season, this is what I love most about this 2013 collection. I am a sucker for great sportswear! What do you think of this collection and campaign?
